Stopped at a parking bay to walk around and check the load walk down driver side then around back up the left hand side the sun was low then out of the corner of my eye a bloody huge perentie monitor lizard 2mtres you think spider man can up high lets say it had a head the size of a bull terrier so keep ya small dogs close buy me ill give that parking bay a miss

We saw a Pelican swallow a barking aggressive Chiwauwa near the main boat ramp at Mallacoota. Aaaah the serenity.

Why? They are not aggressive animals. Perentie Behaviour I have never felt threatened by them. Just be aware to always leave plenty of escape route for them. They only attack when cornered. If you are that scared of them then I suggest you give all of the outback country a miss, you are at more risk from the joe blakes than the perenties.

I had one chase me up my excavator track onto cab roof once.
I dug it's nest of young ones up. Was she wild.
