Has anyone have experience with how well these heaters work when outside temp is near zero?

Welcome to the gang Mack Truck, enjoy here and out in the playground.
The only thing I could add to all the replies in your question in 'Techies Corner' would be, you would have to have hot water at all times you want to use the SEH. I only turn my water heater on in time for a shower. I have a gas heater in my TeePee and works well at very low temps.

Thanks Dougwe. Looks like you have a gas heater which I know work well but I am not sure about the Eco Therm which would be a good fit for me.

G'day Mack Truck and welcome to the forum. Don't forget to try the two ongoing games here - 'Who is This' in the 'I Digress' section and 'Pick this Place' in the 'General' Section - a great source to find new places to visit. Can't help on the heater as we don't use one.

A warm welcome from me also, Mack Truck
I know nothing of heaters, but Doug (Dougwe) has given good advice, not many people pop into this part of the forum
