I don't understand all this shock and outrage coming out of Tinseltown. I don't think anyone needed to be Einstein to work out that several actors/actresses were given roles despite their appalling acting ability. This Harvey bloke is obviously a predator and a total low life, but one must ask why it has taken this long to expose (pardon the pun) his behaviour.
I see that a number of people were singing his praises a few years ago when they were collecting awards and getting great roles, now the same people are lining up to dump on him. It begs the question, where were they when all this was happening? I imagine this exploitation has been going on in the movie industry since the first film was made yet obviously the career was more important than speaking up. Maybe they did and they were just ignored.
I think there must be a lot of plastic, shallow people in that industry.

I agree DM - why does everyone wait till someone is being persecuted, then decide - yes - it happened to me too! People who wait 30-40 years to tell the truth about an accusation or whatever - why - if you have lived with it that long - let it go.

True the accused grot is likely a nasty bit of business. I don't imagine it is all as one sided though. At work there were both sorts and a number of women who knew where to push the button.
There was always favouritism. That problem saw some raw injustices against better workers with a good work record of accomplishment who were sacrificed because they were in the way of advancement of a new boss's favourite.
While said grot should get his desserts if he is guilty, some including me would abhor the Kangaroo Courts that are so common now, where people are judged by social media and the dogs that are set loose, destroying reputations, careers and families. What if they got it wrong?

Australian TV is not much better. I reckon there are a few blokes who must have dirty pictures of someone important.

And to think one of my idols once was Rolf Harris.
