Thanks Stu

I have driven it, but don't have a caravan. Only a little campervan which I managed without difficulty.

Yes I'm sure it would be ok. I saw plenty of vans being towed when I went through.

There is a bridge at Mia Mia that looks a bit iffy as overhead frame but I was only in the tug without teepee on back and only been through there once. I have been told it's no problem and trucks go over/through without problems all the time. Maybe just slow down as you should anyway as it is one lane. If you have a UHF make sure it is on and maybe even let others know you are approaching.

Forgive me stu, I read your request wrong, thinking you were heading around the back of Eppalock for some reason.
The bridge and its approach between Redesdale and Mia Mia is a little tight but no problem, take your time.
Alteratively you could approach Mia Mia via Burke and Wills track, this road is found from the FIRST turn off the freeway near Kyneton, not the main one. Take a look, you will understand.
The reason this is a nice detour also tends towards a little known tribute along the track to the first flight of an aircraft in the country by John Duigan, its fascinating just sitting by a quiet country road monumentaustralia.org.au/themes/technology/industry/display/32582-duigan-monument

We took 7metre Coaster, towing small car, that way last year. Good way to go, little traffic. Couple of pics of the bridge near Redesdale, so you can judge.

Hi, just wanted to let you know we took this road this morning. Very pretty drive and stress free. Had breakfast at the Caltex servo in Heathcote before turning up in the direction of Echuca.
Bagmaker, sorry to say we missed the monument but will try again on the way home.
Thanks all for your input.
Cheers Stu

Next time, try the bakery in Heathcote that is opposite the Visitor Centre. Good tucker. Can park down the side street by the Visitor Centre too.
