Having trouble with water getting through when connected in park.
Have very good hose pressure but it is not at the kitchen tap, can anyone offer advice?

Welcome to the gang Breeza, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Have you checked it there is a valve close to hose conection on the van that changes from tanks to mains (hose). I had a valve next to where I plugged the hose in and had to do that but I have since had it changed to both being indipendent.
I also notice you have actually been a member since 2015 but this is your first post. You must be a man of few words
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

A warm welcome from me also, Breeza
I have a 2006 Jayco Conquest, I found that inside the inlet hose was a gauze filter, and that the bugs had made a nest there, blocking the line
I have heard from others on the road, that sometimes the one way valves fail, which can also block the line
If you can follow the water line through the caravan, you may be lucky enough to feel/see where the water stops
Hope this info is helpful to you
I wish that I was the strong silent type, like yourself

Hi,
Before you disembowel your van try the following, worked for me. On the end of the tap in question there could be small gauze filter. Easy to unscrew and clean. Good luck.
Cheers

Thanks Hurls.
Looks like the filter on Tap is overdue to change, is a sealed filter that can't be cleaned, lot of Calcium in our water in NT.
Cheers everyone!

Caravans have a pressure limiting valve usually where you connect your hose might be worth a look...

My old Westport has an in line water filter.
I'd have a look along the length of the pipe & where you see a thingo wih screwed ends, take it out & clean it. Usually just a plastic basket funnel that filters out solids.

Hi Breeza,
More than likely you may have a build up of calcium in your lines. We used to have the same problem and I was continually cleaning the lines and flushing the hot water tank. I bought a good set of "BEST" filters which filter the water before it goes into the system and also before I fill the tanks. No problems at all now.

Pull off the Pressure reduction Valve, dismantle it & glean & lube it & try that.
Failing that do as I have done, replace the 350kpa valve with a 500kpa, you won't regret it.

From our very bad experience don't replace your 350 reduction valve,we went through hell because ,when we first bought our van the pressure reduction valve was not working and we copped too much water pressure we had blown hoses especially major problems with our hot water system, there there for a very serious reason on an RV,after what we went through too get rid of that valve would be absolately asking for trouble...
