We are lucky to have two TV's in our motorhome, one is 12v, the other 240v which we run on an inverter when free camping.
When we are in a caravan park and running one TV off 240v, and the other off 12v, the 12v always has a problem with reception, while the 240v is perfect. We have a modern splitter, and the aerial is a modern type with an amplifier. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

Hi,
Do they both work together when free camping?
Do you remember to retune both TVs when you move location ?
Have you tried swapping ariel leads from the splitter to the TVs ?

I have found if I turn one of the LED lights on it plays havoc with TV .. its the over dash light . Closest to TV . Another ?? Maybe it has too strong of signal if it has signal booster ?

If that is a dimmable LED then it may be a poorly shielded circuit between dimmer and LED - many are square wave and generate many harmonics.

I think LEDs effecting Tv reception is very common we have this problem as well, but only on some lights it must be that some LEDs are connected to the Tv circuit and it over loads that particular circuit ...

Hi Daffyfrancis,
Yes we often have both TV's on at the same time when free camping.

Hi again,
Have you tried the 240v TV through the inverter when at powered site & do they both TVS still work then ?
If not perhaps only the 12v TV is getting interference from some 240v appliance running eg: battery charger/laptop/phone chargers etc.
If they do both work then the easy fix is just use the inverter & let your battery charger keep the batteries topped up.
Perhaps also try using the 240v TV on another power point.
