I have run this in a couple of other forums with no advice received - seems they haven't hit the scene here yet.
"I would be interested in hearing from anyone with first hand experience with the Onan Marquis Gold 5 to 6 kw LP Autogas generators. Claimed to be the RV industry quietest - what about running cost?

Wouldn't be viable running smaller.
But the extra costs involved installing a gas system, would cover a LOT of petrol.
Quieter?. It's big enuff to fit a better silencer with room to spare.
Specially if you "installing" it.

macka, I've seen them in Hardly Normal & they run off a 9Kg gas bottle which would mean carrying the extra weight of another gas cylinder or using one of the van's tanks.
I don't know how their economy goes but I guess any pollutant would be cleaner.

How long is it going to run ? We use ours for 10 / 20 min intervals . Unless you have LPG as main fuel ? Although hooking up to cylinder already fitted wouldn't be too difficult. Thing is make them as noisy and smelly as possible .. lol
