Did you know that when you empty your van fridge, if you place sheets of newspaper on all the shelves and in the freezer section you can close the doors and you will not end up with any mould?
But I always leave the doors slightly ajar.

Confusing!
So was the first a question about the truth of the news paper or a statement?
I would assume one is safer leaving the door ajar. My fridge has an ajar type fitting easy.

Leaving damp newspapers in a fridge, freezer, esky, water containers and the like is also supposed to kill and/or stop smells.

An plastic tray with some Nescafe in the freezer and the fridge would do the job as well

Anything that removes moisture from the air will do the job. Don't use anything that will stink up the fridge.

Use oil of cloves.Chemist stock it. Add 6 to 8 drops of oil of cloves in a 500 ml spray bottle of water. It will kill the mould spores for up to 6 months. Spray inside the fridge and around the door seals. Mould needs to be cleaned before application.
Also use in the bath room and on vents.

Bleach does not kill mould completely, it just gets rid of the top of it and not the roots. The oil of cloves gets to the roots. It is the best thing for mould in shower cubicles.
