I am planning a quick 3-4 week journey from Sydney South West, down the South Coast and return, and am seeking suggestions for those "must see" places to park my "on road" caravan. Probably only staying 1-2 nights in each place, unless it is absolutely magnetic.
I do respect the ideas forthcoming, as always, and largely plan my travels around the feedback received.
Cheers to all, and many thanks in advance, as always. KB

Both blow-holes at Kiama. Huskisson & Vincentia both worth the slight detour. Shellharbour Beachside Tourist Park. We did 3 days here and went to Kiama one of the days

Hi Kerion.
Firstly the South Coast of NSW is beautiful. We love visiting this area.
Woolongong is amazing! There is several lookouts, Sublime Point Lookout a good starter, my favourite is Lawrence Hargraves at Stanwell Park, it is where the man learnt about flight, lots of flying still done here. Royal National Park with Wattamolla Beach, yes right at your back door, awesome day out. The Sea Bridge drive, Woolongong Beach and headland. So much to see. We stayed at the Bulli Caravan Park. Throw in the Temple cannot think of its name near Ablion Park.
Next stop Berry Showgrounds, from here there is some great lookouts, waterfalls, Cambewarra Lookout, Sadleback Reserve, Jamberoo, Kangaroo Valley, Wattamolla, extra drive up to Fitzroy Falls, Carrington Falls allow plenty of time, you will find more along the way. Morton National Park, Manning Lookout.
From Berry also did Jervis Bay, once again plenty to see down that way, Cape ST George light house,
Melton Showgrounds good overnighter maybe 2 nights.
Murramarang Beach inviting.
Batemans Bay we stayed at the caravan park near the bridge, a bit dearer then most but it had its good points, walk into town, boat cruise up the river.
I could go on for sometime but your time is limited. Enjoy.

Dalmeny & Mystery Bay campgrounds are both cheap alternatives right on the beach, Dalmeny has power. Both highly recommended.

I'll second Dalmeny Caravan Park, stayed there a number of times, super market over the road, bus to Dalmeny Club, nice club very friendly locals.
Not too many parks with an aspect like it.
