G'day, my three youngest grandkids are on the autism spectrum and they constantly want to go 'fishin' with Pa'.....
Soooo young Brydie & I have just re-fitted out my old 12' Tinny with new seats, motor etc...to attack the Redfin and Yellowbelly/Callop...
I sold some gold nuggets I had found locally,.... so gone is my old 'smelly' 9.8HP Mercury replaced with new reliable 15Hp Merc...
We christened her 'Orca 2' after my old Pt Lincoln fishing boat 'Orca'...
Only problem is 'Orca 2 ' is Size 12 and I'm now Size 13!.....
It was a freezing 'Zero' degrees at Lake Eppalock, Central Vic, boat ramp when we just gave her first trial run this week.....I did manage to catch a ccccold wet arrrse...
Yesterday we fitted a 3 bow Bimini cover for the hot Greens Lake sun........now looks more like the Surrey with the Fringe on Top.....
Perhaps I can 'do' Greens Lake 'Scenic Runs' or Refin Fishing trips this Spring for Grey Nomads?.......lol...
Photos for anyone interested....my grandkids are rapt in anticipation....faster than our two person Kayak we used up at Greens last Spring....Hoo Roo
Oh! Gran Pa we are going to make some excellent memories.

Agreed Radar...when you get to my age 70....shared family experiences are really what it's all about,..plus getting right away from all the current Aussie ""News"" absolute BS...IMO.... Here's a photo with one of my other Grandkids in our Kayak, at Greens Lake last Summer...when we rowed up to Dougwe's.....in his now familiar/iconic Boat Ramp location..I was kinda hoping I would pass his two Squaws out in their Indian Canoe out catching his fish breakfast......Lmao.......Hoo Roo

G'day Radar,
I previously gave comprehensive details on my inflatable kayak when I was asked my opinion...my grandkids and I love it, and at 20 odd kg's including the folding paddles etc can be easily
stored in my twin Cab when we go away..easily inflated/deflated....It was a $700+ odd item that I originally purchased new on Clearance at Anaconda for $200 including paddles.....after I
gave details a resident "expert" on most things here, proceeded to tell me why I apparently shouldn't like it and why they are not as ""good"" as fixed kayaks etc etc.....all I know is my
precious roof rack space is left clear for far more important items I carry, being a collapsible fire pit, 6th spare wheel, and caravan annex.. than a ruddy great kayak 'blowin' in the
wind'......and we've all had considerably more than $200 of fun with this Seak Kayak...and it will definitely be taken to Greens Lake again..... Hoo Roo.

Hi GF.
The resident poster may of been right with his thoughts only for him.
Thank you for your thoughts on the inflatable yellow kayak. You look like you are having way to much fun.
Good, now to find the right kayak on special for me.

Done the "Green" thing twice year. Australia Day week at Greens Lake (Corop) then the week after Easter at Green Hill Lake (Ararat). Magic time at both places.
