we are travelling down the coast currently and aware it is best to book ahead a few days at least. Heading towards Bundaberg does anyone have a suggestion for a nice caravan park either side of Bundaburg on the coast . We hope to stay about a week.
Currently at a lovely little park in Mirani, about 35k in from Mackay which is not far from Eungella National Park. For $25 night there are some little gems around. Thanks for any help.

I was just about to head up from Tweed to Mackay. Below is the shortlist of dog-friendly camps that I was aiming for.
Last year we stayed at Tannum Sands. However, if you like being away from mainstream parks, try Lake Awoonga, just inland from Tannum Sands. Further south, is 1770, Agnus Waters or Baffle Creek. Did you visit Eungula Dam while you were at Mirani? It is a nice spot, nice and quiet.

With out a doubt the most enjoyable C/P my late wife and I have stayed at is Woodgate C/P. Woodgate is a quite little settlement not far from Bundi. The beach is probably 3 or 4 miles long with a bowling club one end and a pub at the other. The park is about the middle, walk across the road to the beach, concrete walkway all the way along the beach. Park has it's own little take-away, great fish & chips. Pub does meals nightly and at the time we were there they had themed nights, one night would be Italian, another would be seafood etc. Very friendly pub, would sent bus down to the park to collect you. We had a dog but that didn't matter, all pets welcomed on the bus. Pets allowed into beer garden and had water bowls for them and a doggie menu.
If you ran out of beer during the day only had to ring the pub and they would send down your order on the bus, minimum $20.00 purchase.
Caravan had plenty of shade, kangaroos and bird life. Clean amenities, all you could want really.

A pie, a pint and a pee at the Pinacle pub it a bucket list thing on the way from Mirani to Eungulla.
Picked up our pie from pub and having it for dinner, hope it tastes as good as it looks!

Bargara Caravan Park on coast out of Bundy is a very good park. Have stayed there and managers and facilities are good.
