I understand that there is a great free camping area in GOL GOL NSW just outside Mildura and with river frontage. I was wondering if anyone knows where it is in GOL GOL ??
Hope someone can help.

That would be Bottle Bend turn off to river is 15kms SE of Gol Gol. It's signposted. At this time of the year caution is required when camping anywhere along the Murray. Deep black mud & a good chance of becoming bogged. Hope things work out well for you.

Like we said the well sign posted turnoff is 15kms SE of Gol Gol on the road to Euston. You can't miss the turn off, the sign is huge. We're not sure, but there may be a seasonal closure in Winter. There's no free camping IN Gol Gol itself.

Many many thanks again.
We have a Fiat Ducato Motorhome, so no 4 wheel drive, so presume that road in good weather [as it currently is], will be ok.

The latest comment on Wikicamps is 22nd of July. It says access was easy. We noticed that a few people have said ''If it looks like rain get out quickly, very slippery''. Apparently when conditions are bad the gate is locked.

There is something funny going on with WikiCamps. In fact I can not find a NSW site labelled Bottle Bend (there is one on the Vic side.) I am presently looking at WC and can not find that comment on any of the sites listed for Vic or NSW. Try this map, the co-ordinates are from CAW 7, The turn off is 19.7 km from the roundabout in Buronga or 56 km from the RH turn in Euston. Th nearly 2 km of track from the highway is natural form construction.

Wikicamps. Just type in Bottle Bend & go to comments, it's all there. Your phone must be playing up.

Not on phone, It's the Win 10 Creators Edition that is stuffing things up. Things are coming and going on WikiCamps. Found the Bottle Bend site this time on but the map at the top RHS extends right to the bottom of the page. The symbols that indicate what is at the site are truncated, the first and last ones are there but there are many missing in the middle. I cracked open my travelling lap-top which still has Win 10 Anniversary Edition and everything is fine with WC. Firefox is also playing up as well. Later on I will do some delete and reinstall operations and see how things go.
At 15km after GOL GOL, we passed an old garage which had a building application sign saying that they were going to pull down everything including the old caravan site. It was dark and getting late, so drove back to GOL GOL and stayed in the Caravan Park there.
