Back again for some informed advice. We purchased a 2010 XK559 Geist German caravan and need to have some extra keys cut. I have shopped around and have been informed by two local locksmiths that they are unable to secure the necessary blanks (Germany never used to fire blanks !!!) is there anyone out there clued up on how to resolve this problem other than importing key blanks from Duetschland ?
Many thanks

I've had to buy blanks on eBay a few times for motorbikes. They came from within Australia so postage was minimal. Have you tried www.ansuleisure.com.au/index.php ?

G'Day RustyD,
Your the fastest gun in the west Rusty, thanks for the tip, I rang ANSU and spoke to a fast talking gentleman from the old dart, who thought he may be able to help. So I took a photo of our one key and forwarded to him seeking cost etc.
Many Thanks for your help

Probably easier to install NEW Barrels instead.

Not too sure about this but I think Geist use the same door lock assembly as A'van. Does your internal door lock look like a smiley face with a nose, one red eye & one green eye if you look at it with your head turned to the side. If it does it's the same lock assembly as on all A'vans. You can get spares from A'van if it is. The brand is HARTAL.

G'day Nobby
I think there'll be many modern Jayco owners who face the same dilemma. The required blanks aren't available in Australia. I believe Camec will supply spare keys to Jayco dealers at $80 each, which I think is a bit steep. Maybe your Geist has the same kind of lock.
And by the way, I've been told by several locksmiths that they can't cut them even if they have the blanks. I'll wait to see how you get on with your Geist keys before I try again.

Thanks Desert Dweller,
With the aid of CaravanRV service at Kunda Park Maroochydore (David) I contacted Coastal Caravan Clinic at Gosford and manged to purchase two keys. Job done.
