Absolutely fabulous Ken, But how many times do you want to see it in the middle of a favourite show. That's one of my gripes with the commercial networks they play the same commercial over and over - just makes me walk out of the room.

We love his nature programs but after many years we're totally sick of his posh voice.
All the fantastic footage on his documentaries is filmed by various freelance photographers, purchased by him & then his voice is overdubbed.

It looks like a scene from the Star Wars movie.

It is actually an "ice sky" - the air is so cold it turns to ice - isn't it the most amazing photo?

Thanks Jules, the photo piqued my interest seeing as I spent 44 years looking at the night sky! Found this on the web:
Oh, and the claim that this spires are ice sculptures? Weirdly, that seems to come from a NASA press release from 2010, describing a Hubble image of the Carina Nebula! So that would explain the weird description, as well as mistaking the VLS image of the Swan for a Hubble image of Carina.
So there you go. Mystery solved. This isnt the handiwork of God, or an unexplained scientific enigma. Its science, and its art, and its pretty cool either way
Regards

The Universe is a wonderful place. Then some.
And A FEW individuals make it even more so.
What's wrong with his voice. NOT posh. Just spoken in "proper" English by an "Englishman".
Now ME.
I'm a Geordie. ALSO a "proper" Englishman. (Koff. Koff)
But most of you would only unnerstand every third or tenth word if I Lapsed back into it after 45 yrs.
Watched him AGAIN last night.
Just appreciate the masterful HARD work from a dedicated team.
And be thankful they share it.
His (and theirs)are one of the very few works by anybody.
Truly worth watching more than once.
There was a Frenchman once. Decades ago. Marine.
On same level, Class of work.
His name at the back of my tongue??.
(Jules Costeau?? or thereabouts)
I think his son does\did a bit too.
Every night and day we sit and moan about the rubbish being passed off as commercials that we are forced to watch by our commercial networks.
If only we could make commercials like this one there would be no complaints forthcoming. This really is magic. Enjoy.
David Attenborough does it again!
What a stunning commercial from BBC !
