Saw this motorcycle with a side car oufit while out walking around Innsbruck, Austria, a daily rider, parked in the same spot most days but not parked there of a night.
On the rear of the car there is a number country flags painted, interesting tourer. My thoughts are it has seen some countries, from here in Innsbruck less then 1 hour will see you 2 others countries.
Anyone have any thoughts on this MKZ sidecar out fit.

MZ was another company caught napping by the Japanese. Honda in this case. Line this up with 1971-3 Japanese stuff and it's archaic.
Bike equivalent of the Trabant.

I think that was more a case of industrial espionage. From here:
Especially through the work of their racing engineer and department leader Walter Kaaden their engines became nearly unbeatable and in 1961 they nearly won the world championships in the 125 cc class against Soichiro Honda's four-stroke engines. The championship was lost through one of the biggest spy scandals in motorcycle history. The factory rider Ernst Degner fled from East Germany and brought all their knowledge to Suzuki. Walter Kaaden's secret was stolen. He had developed the two-stroke exhaust pipe, known as expansion chamber. In 1962, with his stolen knowledge that he brought to Suzuki he won the first world title for the Japanese manufacturer.

To be honest I didn't see the MZ on the tank - until now. A couple a key words to Mr. Google showed me a pic with MZ plastered all over it. A blue version of the one above.
