As I'm on the lookout for Events and Festivals that go on throughout the year , I was wondering where you all look them up. Maybe a page could be set up with the details.

For Qld, just type 'Queensland Events' into your browser.
I suspect a similar thing can be done for other States.

Not sure but if u r in qld. The woodford folk festival is the biggest in the southernn hemisphere i was told. U can volunteer and get a free ticket too. Go to their site n have a look. we enjoy festivals too.

Re setting up page for this sort of thing , We have a sub forum for lots of things but some people don't bother look them up and ask question on general forum , We have budget and low cost camping not many on the forum use it .

Agree totally, there's a lot more to a good forum than just the main ''General Forum'' section. It's a pity so few participate in the other more interesting sections.
One exception is the ''I Digress'' section which is full of boring rubbish dredged up from the internet. So easy to do with minimal effort.

Two which come to mind are
Parkes NSW, usually in January The Elvis Festival, you have to go there at least once There you will meet all of Elvis relations, all two hundred of them
Tamworth NSW, usually in January, about four days after the Elvis festival Country Western Music Festival, which you should go twice Once to see the Country, and then the following year, to see the Western music
