High all,
I was doing the tyres on the boat trailer last week with my aging 12V air compressor when it went to the other side RIP.
After looking at Super Cheap / Ridges offerings@$256, I went to Ebay and found an Outbac 12V 300lt per minute twin pump with a duty cycle of 25minutes Has a start up pressure of up to 150psi
It will do a large 4 x 4 tyre in 45 seconds 15psi to 35 psi so they say. Its draws 35A so should run engine while doing 4 tyres.
Ordered one on Friday with a $20 discount using a promo code. $119.00 delivered. Should be here tomorrow.
Regards Jim

I've got a graveyard of mini compressors back of my shed including a twin cylinder one that was no better.
I hope yours proves good over time. I've given up and use digital ones at servos. ..if they are in order! Mini compresssors, motorists achilles heal.
There us an airbag mob in Bayswater though that sell a very good quality small one apparently.??

Hi Heyjim
It will be interesting to see a photo of your new bargin air compressor, most I see are the some as the one I brought from a long time spare parts chain store, the manager was not inpressed when I come though the door for 4th time. I would of liked my money back but I had dealt with 2 managers and both told me a good story. So off I went, the last onecwas a single and I must omit not brilliant but in emergency with time to spare it would pump the forby tyre up enough to get you out of trouble.
In the mean time when I find more then 6 blokes who have owned and used there 12 volt air compressors more then a hand full of times with out a can of beer in there hand, I will just use this cheap as one I got.
But I am Waiting, waiting and waiting to learn more.

Me too until I bought an ARB four years ago. Its used more often than most as I do a lot of beach fishing. Never missed a beat and still going strong.

Jim it looks good, have something similar but not so high output ie not 300lt/min, and am happy with it. Air tube where it plugs into the unit gets hot and I found with mine the gizmo that allows the unit to pump up to a certain pressure then... no more, slowed down the inflation process so I screwed the unit down so this did not function for a quicker inflation. Purchased mine from some org in Mid Vic. Ditto need to run engine when using. Note you may not have purchased yours from Org below.

I will be following your adventure with this new compressor, now you 6 weeks to break the compressor before I return home to Australia, OK.
I will need to know how many tyres you have pumped up including kids bikes, footballs and air cleaned filters.
Once again thank you, big and heavy is best. Ralph.

Hi Radar, It just arrived today. Its huge. @10kg.
Hi Heyjim.
Time is up, have you thrown air compressor in the bin or is it a keeper.
Waiting to hear.
Today checking the tyres on the caravan with my compressor going from 36psi to 40 was such a drama and I only needed to pump 2 out of 4.
