Helloooooo everyone,
At last I can present my new "RIG." This has been a long time coming and I conducted some serious research before making my decision. I experienced a few days with the Brisbane 4X4 training course learning how my vehicle handles both in high & low range situations. Although not quite as 'BIG' as most others what it looses on the swings it gains on the round about. A sweet compact and fully functioning outfit that suits my Toyota 4X4 tray perfectly. At only 450g in TARE weight it should take me almost anywhere. I have named by Camper "Beauty & the Beast". Up, Up & away..... Gwynnie @ matildatraveller
What else you want you've got all the imported thing covered
Have a lot of fun with it on the road
Regards John

Thanks, Jewel, John & Bryan,
It has been fun setting up 'Beauty & the Beast' and I considered many variations of campers from Jaycos dove, to Penguin and other custom built of slide-ons but their tare weight was too much for my baby 2.8 lt Toyota Hilux 4x4 ute. Finally settled on the "Active Camper with side gas struts for an easy lift up and only weighs 450 kg to boot. It goes up all by its self too...sooooo easy even a 'girl' like me can set it up in minutes. Thanks again guys for all your well wishes and will be updating on the forum as my BIG outback adventure unfolds. Gwynnie @ matildatraveller

Thanks Grahame, John Jewels for all your positive comments. I could not be happier with it so far and I have been on the dirt roads near Birdsville, Tibooburra and Cameron's Corner already without any dramas. Safe travels to all and see you on the 'BIG LOOP' road somewhere/sometime...... Gwynnie
