I have a Suburban gas hot water system in my RV. It works a treat. The problem I have is that the hot water runs for a few seconds, then goes cold. Turn the tap off and wait a few more seconds, then turn it back on and again, hot water then goes cold. I have fitted a new tempering valve and flushed out the hot water tank. Can any of you wonderful people help me out please

Couple of things:
1. Is it instantaneous or in a boiler?
2. How long after you turn the gas on are you trying to run the hot water?
3. My gas water takes about 20 mins to heat up and is not running unless I'm camped.
4. I have to remove a vent cover when stopped otherwise the water starts to heat but turns off if I don't remove the cover.

It's a 23ltr storage system. It takes about 30mins to get to temp.

Have a word with a Plumber mate.
Anybody here. (Unless it's happened to them)
I'd say would be guessing.
Just like me.

sounds like the tempering valve is installed incorrectly or has failed?
Did it work OK at some time or has it always been this way

If you are able, just temporarily by pass the temp valve with the hot line .If it stays hot {as it should } it will identify the problem immediately. Cheers.
