Now I know everyone is going to moan about the title but like most of us I sit to long, drink to much and sneak the occassional biscuits. So I have put on the extra kilo or three. I was trying to work out how to motivate myself to exercise each day, now some days I go for a walk and some times I don't but I also need to do weight bearing exersices so my joints don't sieze up. Sooo I got to thinking that if there were others on here that were like minded we could start by checking in each night and saying what we have been doing. Such as I did a 3km walk or I lifted a can of beans to exercise my shoulder and arms etc. By checking in with each other at night it would help keep us motivated?????? Just thought we spend hours driving and lack of exercise can lead to all sorts of problems as we get older.
Anyone Interested ? or can offer suggestions
Cheers Chris

I don't put my step down when I camp. Thus I get my step exercises. It also prevents me driving off with it down lol.

Weight training? Putting up the awning, Lifting, carrying 15ltrs of water. Getting stuff from under the bed. Mostly everything is heavy for me.
Taking the dog for a walk? Nar, that doesn't work. She's getting old and will refuse to budge after about 10mtrs. Can't even use her for weight training either and carry her. She,s less than two kilos.

OK madcart, I reckon I have the answer for you. Buy a metal detector, not a $7000 top of the range Minelab but, a 300 to 400 dollar basic one and start wandering around the local football grounds and parks and beaches. You will be surprised when you start finding dollar coins on the grass and even the occassional ring at the beaches. If you have no experience with detectors go into You Tube and punch in things like Go Find 60, or Beach detecting, Park detecting etc, etc. Once you get started it is like a desease, and your wife will want to hit you over the head with the bloody thing.

Hello madcart
Not into exercises as per, going to the gym Not into diets as per, following a plan
But...
At home base I have three different walks, approximately 1.5, 2.5, or 4.5 kilometres I try to do one of those walks each morning
While travelling, I also like to walk around the campsite While walking around the campsite, I will pick up rubbish, with a pickup stick
This seems to work for me, as I am more or less
The correct height for my age
And perhaps a little heavier, than I probably should be
