Suggestions would be appreciated for places to stop crossing the nullarbor. We are looking for a powered site and friendly travellers and hosts.

I have done the Nullarbor from Perth - Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane and return; 29 times now.
Every roadhouse and town are different and they all have something to offer. I have stayed at all roadhouses on the Nullarbor in their caravan parks, all Caravan Parks in WA towns on route; and most of the Parks on the SA side up to Port Augusta. All have power and good/excellent facilities.
It would be quite unfair of me to pick one out from the other, and will add that I have never had a bad experience in all my trips.
I agree with Mike, Wikicamps is the way to go as it gives you attractions along the way.
Hopefully you will enjoy your adventure.

Many thanks we now have Wiki camps and will go from there.
Last year we crossed the Nullarbor, as suggested for the most we used wikicamps. Stayed at Norseman free camp (showground) Baxter free camp, Mundrabilla caravan park, Nullarbor roadhouse caravan park, Mordini Bluff free camp, and Penong caravan park. All these places are top notch except for water between Penong and Norseman. Of course the free camps have no power or water.
We found all the places had friendly staff and decent facilities. Fuel was a frightful price at Balledonia and the coffee terrible.

Can recommend Fraser Range Station caravan park, east of Norseman.

We did the Nullarbor 3 times on our recent 12-month tour (and still ended up where we started...).
If you are into free camping (still the most enjoyable) then the area just off the highway at the Head of the Bight turnoff is a great place. We had a terrific sunset, pleasant (mature) backpackers for company and a peaceful night. Next morning we tootled back to Nullarbor Roadhouse for a paid shower and off we went eastwards.
We also broke the 140k straight between Caiguna and Balladonia by staying at Baxter and the other camp. Peaceful and usually interesting people to have a chat with.
We are heading over that way in a couple of weeks time, we expect to hit the Nullabor about the end of June. We will of course go to the Head of Bight to see the whales which we do each time we travel over. We have over the years stayed at all the roadhouses and some of the free camps. Best advice, don't try and drive too far and take it all in.
