Just received the Queensland Rego bill for our 22 ft Semi Off Road Coromal Princeton $195.35 Small increase I guess for inflation as last year was $188.75. Not sure how it stacks up against other States charges. But a fair price me thinks to have our home on the road.
Of course I have to add to that the $650 Insurance bill and it is now getting up around $20 per week.
But as they say "No worries it is all covered by the SKI program.""

In NSW Registration 1788kg tare $477. CIL Insurance full no claim bonus $1001.83 with $600 excess. Both due next week.
Sorry guys you don't know when you're well off - I'm paying twice as much as those in other States and I firmly believe that as we are all driving on the same roads the same cost formulae should be used

Same as Possum, 21' van with a tare weight 2285kg $477 NSW rego. CIL $1154 so I can only wish I was as bad off as QLD or better still Vic. Probably why NSW's economy is the strongest and running a budget surplus because we are paying through the nose for everything. To make it worse both our car regos and insurances are due so that's just short of $4000 that we need to pay out in the same month not great timing but at least it's all out of the way for a year. Just need to save up now for the yearly cost of car servicing and caravan storage fees .
I believe that the age pensioners in NSW get their registration etc. a lot cheaper than that.

BB, Yeah aged "Pensioners" get one vehicle but have to pay third party insurance so they only save $64.00. Not self-funded oldies though - we cop the full whack.

I have an old Viscount caravan, with a tare of 1,400 Kg
Recently paid the rego in Western Australia, just over $85
I do not get any Old Age Pensioner, concessions
As it has been parked up alongside my house, since 2014, I no longer insure it
Perhaps the prices reflect on the weight of the caravans, and the kilometres of roads in each state
