Barbeques Galore at Noarlunga SA now refill 9 kilogram gas bottles for $15.00. This is their every day price, not just a special.
Cheers, John.

Thanks John, I have to be in Adelaide in about six weeks and I expect to have an empty bottle ready for a refill by then. Hopefully the price doesn't change in the meantime (gasbottlerefills.com shows a price of $19 for BBQ Galore but that was nine months ago). BTW the Mogas servo in Port Augusta is $19.95 for a 9kg bottle refill if anyone is up this way.
Cheers, Joe

Yeah Joe, they were $19 for the last year or so, but now down to $15 with signage out to say it is their every day price now. I got 2 bottles filled for $30. Better than $40 for one bottle I had to pay at Kadina a while back.
Cheers, John

we always seem to need a refill when we are no where near any of the big centres.
Paid up to $40 plus for a 9 kg. Rather have than not have the gas,as it is an essential item for us bush campers.

If you have the space it may be worth carrying an emergency 2kg or 4kg cylinder with you and making up a hose with which to refill it from the 9kg cylinders. At $40 for 9kg you'll quickly recoup the small outlay.
