I note that this device runs on the 2G (GSM) ban which could explain the cheap price given that Telstra and Optus have/are shutting that band down.
A similar device on this band at Jaycar has now been reduced from $159 to $32. However, they will sell you a more useful 3G version for $299.
By September this year no one in Australia will support 2g...
