Well did you have a good or bad encounter , Just because they are on a lemon list dosen't make them bad there could be a story behind it .

Too easy for trolls to put the bad news out there if you had any worries you should have done more research before you bought not after.

We bought our gas heater through Green RV.
Was delivered to Mt. Isa for us and arrived 5 days after it was ordered.
Saved $480 at the time. found them easy people to deal with.

just for the record we have had no problems so far but i seen there name on a facebook lemon site could be just sour grapes as Nealy every van company seems to on there as well bit like when some power company gives you a bad credit record for switching companies half way though easy to do hard to get rid of .also brickies i did not say they were bad read my first post

Montie,
You are in denial. The caravan industry is unregulated and full of manufacturers that produce shoddy, badly made caravans. I personally know people who have been ripped off with a "Go and get stuffed attitude" from both the dealer and the manufacturers.
I am far from pleased with the way I have been treated and if pushed hard enough I will reveal all.

With all due respect Kevin banging on on some right wing Facebook page is not going to get your problems fixed.
There are legal avenues for that...it's called the Consumer Act.

Montie,
I have not been "Banging on" on any Facebook page, nor do I intend to.
I do, however, intend to expose some facts and also expose on a much broader forum, naming all concerned in a very public national venue.
This will be backed up by proof.
Cheers.

Kevin,
The place to do all that is at the Tribunal where you should get a result.
It then also becomes public knowledge where both sides of the story are presented.
Hope you get a resolution.

Griffo and Kezz,
You won't regret decision to buy Nextgen. We are overall very pleased with ours.
Just be sure to check the detail on the equipment you are getting, what's on that form you sign is what goes to the factory.
Montie,
As above, love the van, but the form I signed was not the one that went to the factory, meaning we did not get a lot of stuff that we ordered.

Bill you beat me to it , You have an order list why not to the check list before taking delivery , We have had lots of people on this forum complaining about their product , They are in such a hurry to take delivery they just hope it's right , 10 years ago we were held up for 3 hours when picking up our caravan and when it was ready for hand over they were in a hurry to see us on our way , We got out our list and started to go though it we found thing that went right they told us we could bring it back to them and they would fix them . We said no when it's fixed let us know and we will return to pick it up and pay the balance , We went home and waited for the call we we return all was good, Buyer beware .

Bill B and Brickies,
The form I signed had the correct detail. The position of the sink unit was changed verbally over the phone. The changed work order went to the factory with none of the correct details on it, thus the errors and omissions.
Both parties deny that this has happened, and the manufacturer has gone to ground on this. Also I was told the van would be ready at a given time, then after arriving at the dealership from 150km away, they phoned and said van would not be ready until next day.
As a result the delivery was rushed. Over the next few days the errors unfolded.
"Why did you accept delivery?" They had my money, if I refused delivery my loss would have been much greater.
In all fairness the dealer did admit to some of the errors and rectified, but it was only after months of negotiation. I have now removed most of their power gear (panels, chargers etc) and fitted out myself.
Cause of the problems. A paperwork error by the dealer. (Anyone can make a mistake) However, if the factory had been sent the plan I signed the the sink unit would be in a different position. I was lied to by both parties.
As I said earlier the decision to buy the Nextgen was overall a good one, and yes I would reccomend that dealer, but with a caution to check all documents thoroughly and if an aleration is made by phone INSIST that a new document be drawn up and signed. (Dealers responsibility)
If that had been done we wouldn't even be talking about this.

I have been told when you spend that sort of money could be worth getting a lawyer to look at the contract .

What you're saying is if I had the foresight to have the hindsight all would be good!
Reality is that if the Caravan industry was regulated like the car industry, these issues wouldn't occur as often.
