Looking to head north this year and thought we may find somewhere between Rockhampton and Hervey Bay to stay for a few weeks or more instead of moving most of the time. Realise we may need to book something. Any suggestions of nice places to stay .
Thanks for your help.

There's a lovely spot along the river at Calliope worth a visit. I have stayed there a few times.
Camping is both sides of the river depending if you want the high side or low side. Free, toilets.

If you want to stay a week, Calliope isn't really suitable as it has a 48 hr limit although it appears to be ignored by many.
Bargara, Elliot Heads, Burnett Heads all near Bundaberg maybe worth considering along with 1770 & Agnes Waters.

You Just beat me then about Calliope. 48hrs.
SHOULD ALL Be given a parking ticket by council bloke
One camera. and go round every morn. Check shots.
it'd more than cover his wages for a while.
I hate people that do that.
Not giving others a chance.
We always stay there the last night away if coming up from South.
Lovely little spot.
and if markets on. Quite interesting.

Bucca, just outside Bundaberg. Behind Bucca pub, $10.00 per night, Binowee Bush Camp Bucca, also $10.00 per night. Nearest dump point in Bundaberg, water available at Avondale or Bundaberg. Good base to explore from.

We use the Glenlodge caravan park in Bundaberg, great friendly family owned park. Brendan and Simon both top blokes.

When in that area I stay at AAOK Riverdale Caravan Park. WikiCamps has it still at $25 per night. It's an easy walk over the bridge into the CBD. Good TV reception with reticulated TV. Plenty to see in the area See Link.
