Although I have no immediate plans to visit that area, who knows where I shall be in the future
I hope that I am not trying to preach to the choir here
But...
I hope that whoever uses this free camp ground, do the right thing, clean up after themselves, and spend some money in the local shops

Macksville is soon to be bypassed and they are looking at ways so that the town doesn't go backwards once the bypass is in operation, should be a great place to stop once the thru traffic is no longer there.
Cheers

Both Nambucca & Macksville will be bypassed.... can't wait!
It's a great spot that John's talking about, but despite the signage it's been available to overnight camp there for a while. From memory though that park is a No Dogs area, so hope the council changes that restriction. There's a few unofficial camping areas around both Nambucca and Macksville if you know where to look. Don't need it myself cause we live in Nambucca when we're not on the road.
Gday...
Cheers - John
