Today I packed my little bag and tomorrow I am off to the Mater here in Townsville to have a knee replacement. It is all go from here as soon as possible the house will be on the market, setup and travel. The delay has been waiting for this operation. I will be quiet for a while suitably supervised by my five daughters and sister and all ladders have been confiscated. Liquor is permitted under supervision in case of falls.

I might just have to bring the whisky around on my arrival next week Mate.
Hope all goes well. I know why you chose the Mater. I have seen the nurses there when I visited the Cardiologist.

Thanks everyone I am sure the Surgeon will do well. The only reason I am doing it at this time of the year at the Mater is I found out where Doug hides them while he is in Townsville. I am feeling better already. Another nip please.
Yes, All the best and speedy recovery Moorey.

All the best David!
When I was there (the Mater) a few years ago, I woke up during a hip replacement op & thought what I could hear were the new building extensions (lots of hammering, sawing). I found out later what was causing the noise!!! Luckily I was knocked out again!
And a belated happy 70th birthday too!
Take it easy on your travels.
