Hello, thinking about buying a pair of those large permanent extendable side mirrors for my 100 series LC with prices varying from $445 to $755 (supply only) and wondering if there is any difference in quality from one brand to another and any pitfalls buying the cheaper on line brand for around $445?, thanks

I can understand those that are permanently exploring the big playground spending that sort of money on mirrors, but I find it a bit hard to justify that sort of expenditure and I have purchased a good set of mirrors that attach to existing mirrors and I have also purchased a camera
90 not 120 degrees that's on the back of my van and hard wired through to 8" screen in the tug, this total set up cost around $350 and can be transferred to next tug and van when the time comes

Nowadays With narrower than Patrol, Ute.
I have a pr that mount on plates on door panel
Also do a great job.
Those big ugly things would be the last thing I'd put on my tug.
On a truck yes.
On a toy, they look ridiculous when nothing on the back.
But Everybody to their own hey.
Also mine cost $110. Clip ons were $25 to 45.
That rear view camera on back of tug is worth much more.
View and safety wise.

By the time you have replaced a couple of the cheaper brands when they have either vibrated loose, fallen off, broken.
in my opinion it is worth biting the bullet first up and buying a set of clearviews, yes they are expensive however worth it in the long term, we had had them on our Jeep G C for 12 months n ow, wouldn't be with out them.
try the clearview web site they some times have owners wanting to sell secondhand sets.

We have them. Had them on our Prado and now that we have a 200 Series had them installed at purchase. Their resale value is quite good. Our Prado ones went quickly.
We had Aussie Truck Mirrors, which were good, but took paint off the door sills. We also used seat belt lambswool things to stop the thrumming. With Clearview mirrors no such problems. The biggest hassle is folding them in when we go into the garage.
Now that we have had these we wouldn't select anything else. They're really convenient.

The thing I like about my Clearviews is the 2nd mirror underneath that lets you see that blind spot down the sides of the vehicle. I don't think any of the "clip ons' have that feature.

Clearview for me all the way, can always get them used on Clearviews website for around $500 and sell again after you have finished with them for $500, I have done that twice now and am my third set all bought used, lost no dough
