Early last week i posted an article about under van ,chassis mounted toolbox .And some of you thought that it was not a good idea , I should have mentioned that i will not be neccessarily carrying tools ,but things like caravan levelers ,rope ,blocks of wood ,ect .So that i can free up space in the caravan boot .After getting the van weighed i will adjust the distribution of items to keep the ball weight at or near 10% ,as much as possible .Thanks for your replies ,JOHN.

Hi John
i have 2 of these boxes that I had made up -1 each side
they are perfect for ramps a few treated pine sleepers cut to about 300 mm long as pads for jack or even instead of ramps if only minor lift needed
they are made from 1.2mm alloy and weigh about 6 kg each
i have a 150 chassis plus a 150 riser so easy to fit mine
It is tek screwed to to both vertical and horizontal outriggers and has not moved in 30,000 km of various roads
I also have a rear box that fits between the van and spare tyre for light things such as a awning rafter fishing rod etc
i don't know how to rotate first photo of rear box but it is vertical with 2 extra shelves which are about 120 mm wide so not large or heavy but extremely useful
Very neat . They free up other storage room . In our case double shade cloth mats for under Amex, door . Being light but large space a seperate storage container helped .

Yes, that is now on my wish list.
Ideal way to store the ramps, blocks and sundries.
