Hi. New to this forum and was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm currently looking at buying a new crusader 18' Van. I was verbally quoted $500 to fit a grey water tank at build. I have now ordered the van and the salesman has now quoted me $900. Has anyone recently added a grey water tank and if so what was the price. Feel like i'm being had!!! Cheers

G'day Kelvin, and welcome you to the forum. Plenty of great advice and folks on here. Don't forget to try out the two games - Who is This in the I digress section and Pick ThisPlace in the general section. 'Pick this place' is a great way to find new places to explore.
Can't help you re the grey water tank as we don't have one. Suggest using the search engine, many options are available all depending on how much free camping / need for grey water storage.

And a warm welcome from me also Kelvin008
Usual disclaimer I have no experience of purchasing a new caravan
If you had a verbal quote for $500 which has now increased to a written quote for $900, then I would ask the salesman "why is it so"
If there was a cooling off period, then I would be looking very hard at getting out of it, if I thought that I could not trust someone
Perhaps someone with knowledge of the caravan industry who can give a precise answer, or advice, will come along and enlighten all of us

Welcome to the gang Kelvin008, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Depending on what the item is and something in that price bracket a written quote is best and binding, to a point I spose. Maybe go visit a couple of other places and see what they charge. If they are around the same price I would say that's it.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

As Tony said, I'd be asking the question as to why the amount has nearly doubled. And if the answer is unsatisfactory - are you bound to pay the increased amount?
It certainly makes the salesperson look quite incompetent.
I's also pass it the General forum as you may get more aswers.
