We are sitting at home in Logan City QLD and of course we are receiving the after effects of Debbie with some heavy rain and more to follow.
But it will be gone in a day or so and then plenty of good medicine ( Sunshine).
For those southerners just take your time this year with your annual migration north. Should all be good by the end of April.

At Wallumbilla (just east of Roma). 85mm in last 24 hours at our place, road out front 30cm under water (truckie report), can't make the end of our driveway because we can't see it. Roma cut off in all directions.

Just a by the by - Toowoomba where I live is not classified as a part of SE Qld (how many know that) but we had a day off school today because it is the Toowoomba Show holiday not because of the weather. How many children will go to school here tomorrow? Your guess is as good as mine. Will I have to do my school crossing shifts tomorrow - standing in the rain with no children crossing? And Saturday is the start of our Easter school holidays. Oh well!!!!!

Beautiful weather waiting for you and all other visitors to Townsville. Today 38deg in Kirwan, humidity 80%, water restrictions still on level 3. I thought I saw a cloud today but it was just my eyes misting up from the humidity. The rumour has it we might get some rain next month so I went to the end of the garden to confirm this with the little people under the mushrooms.
I really have to stay away from the bundy.

Woke to a lovely morning, slight breeze and blue sky, back to normal. Rain guage only had 82 mm althou I dought this was the true recording due to the wind. There were benifits here the tanks are full, creek has had a good flush out and the water level is up. Will not take long to dry out and back to the way it usually is.
Trust all are safe and did not suffer during this time, take care and help your neigbours.

How, CC. Well it was a lot different here on the Nth NSW Coast overnight and I tell you that for free. 90km+ winds, heavy rain with 140mm in 24hrs. Rain has settled down but wind is still the same with stronger gusts. Lismore is not looking good but Sth West of me so no problem to me, I feel for those there though and a little further north. I am keeping an eye on things around the NSW/QLD boarder as I want to make a run for it early Sunday morning to around the Sunshine Coast area.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there (I will try very hard myself)

Have not heard of any major problems on the Pacific or through Brisbane. Up here all is ok with only the usual roads blocked due to flooding and tides. Goldcoast hinterland and Ipswitch copped a fair bit and Bremmer river is slowley rising.

Had to sell the canoe to help look after the twins KJ.
Not planning on being in NQ until early May Brickies.
Looks like my departure from Nth NSW Coast is on hold as the Pacific Hwy is flooded and closed at the Tweed River. One good thing is no more rain so hopefully water levels will go down soon and the Hwy will re-open.

With a few going late April'ish.

This may sound a bit off, but I hope it extends to the Paroo headwaters to give my friends relief in South Western NSW! It is not said to be nasty, just a wishful thought for them, after all, the Paroo is a fickle beast! Never seen it personally in flood, seen it before and after and love the country. Wish all the best to those suffering and hope relief happens quickly!

Out west still needs rain as it is still declared a drought area. Good light fain would certainly be welcome by the farmers and stations out beyond.

I have been contacted by many members asking how I am and that has been appreciated for sure. However, I am fine as is the tee pee, just stuck. Yep, stuck in Byron Bay due to flooded Pacific Highway just south of the Tweed River. I can't get into QLD. Maybe they don't want me :( at least I'm in a nice area, NOW as we too have been hit hard by Debbie's tail.
Seroiusly, it could be worse and I feel for those families that have lost loved ones in the trail of 'Debbie'. I will make a run for it as soon as the roads are open again. I am checking 'Live Traffic NSW' and 'QLD Traffic' all the time and find both those excellent.
I keep telling people to "Keep Safe on the roads and out there" so now I need to practice what I preach.
My heart goes out to all effected.

Good to see you are safe and ready to travel. The roads will be a little suspect after the volume of water that has passed over them and the amount of traffic that will be moving north and south. Feeling a little guilty in Townsville that we survived without incident when so many below us in QLD and NSW have and are still suffering so much. I have three daughters in Lowood (husband in Fire Rescue), Coffs Harbour, Burpengary and all are safe with minor losses. My condolences to to those who have lost family or friends during this emergency and wish everybody a safe and speedy recovery.

Now Rockhampton is bracing for flooding , Queensland and northern NSW is a good place to stay away found till we get the all clear .
