A tropical low brewing 600 kilometres north-east of the Queensland coast could make landfall somewhere between Cairns and Townsville early next week as a category three cyclone or higher,
We think it will cross below Cairns. For us in Cairns that is good news. However not good news for other communities. Especially Now Cardwell it looks like taking another direct hit. Please any Nomads in the area take warnings as super important and seriously. Us locals know how things change very quickly don't be complacent. Stay safe.

We left Airlie Beach this morn Heading South.
Currently at Waverly Creek free camp.
Council came round this arvo and gave us an Information sheet in case of Emergency.
South of Proserpine the boys were at the side of the road catching Barramundi from the flooded Canefields

I have a bad feeling this is going to be a 'biggie'!!
Stay safe and look out for your neighbors, especially the elderly.

We are moving from Mackay to Moranbah tomorrow to be away from the storm. Will sit it out there before heading to Townsville which ever way we can.
