Well after being a non-travelling member for more than a year I have at last purchased an RV for my wife Dawn and I to hit the road. My home is in Sydney at the base of the Blue Mountains and I concluded the deal to purchase on Monday the 20th in Perth - so right now I have just finished day 3 of my long haul back to Sydney to pick up all the "stuff" we want with us and will soon be heading off.
First port of call for us will be Tasmania as I compete in Targa Tasmania every year and with the 2017 event kicking off on April 24 in Launceston I will take the RV to Tasmania on the 16th...
What did I end up purchasing. I have a 2009 Sunliner Vue which is a 6-wheel chassis based on the Fiat Ducato. I had high expectations of what I would find when I flew from Sydney last Sunday but I have to say that this unit exceeded my expectations in every aspect and is a credit to the 2 previous owners. My wife is yet to see it but I am sure she will be as over the moon as I am. It is looking a little sad on the exterior at the moment as I have had everything hurled at it. On Tuesday and Wednesday it was very, very wet and today I have driven through a flight of locusts in SA - you don't need me to tell you how bad the debris is after that...
So I am looking forward to interacting and telling all and sundry where we are going and what we are doing

Well done Brian. Sounds like you are extemely happy and excited and so you should be. I can see the front of the MH in my mind as we speak. I drove through a locust 'wall' and a very thick wall many moons ago around the Hay NSW area and took quite a few washes and hard work to get them off my car, yet alone a MH.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Its a 1995 Mazda RX-7 SP. We came second in Early Modern in 2016 with a podium finish so expectations are very high this year. It will probably be the last outing for this car for some time as we have just bought a 2011 Nissan GT-R R35 (the current model) which we will race in the GT2 category in subsequent events...
This was 2016 near Irishtown in North West Tasmania and Georgetown prologue...
