due to the need to collect gray water at some free camp sites I am in need of a grey water tank. Q if I buy one of these portable tanks will that be ok with local authorities/ rangers. Does anybody have any issues or have used them?
See Southern Comfort's post in Techies Corner a couple of days ago.

It will be OK for some, but not others.

YEP.
Some just use a bucket with a lid on it. It's sealed.
The old sewer pipe with a coupla straps,
is quick, cheap, and easy.

Hi sasia,
With our Mercedes Sprinter Campervan we have used our 40lt portable grey water tank for over 4 years & don't bother carrying a grey water hose on our travels.(not to hard to wheel the container as far as a grey water hose lol.)
To comply with CMCA leave no trace rules you must have a shut-off valve on your van outlet & a sealable connection to it from the portable tank- this has satisfied all places we have stayed, either freedom camping, national parks or caravan park etc.
