Up until now we have been using a mobile dongal to get internet , which in some areas is very slow.
Over recent days we have been using telstra hot spot which is a lot faster. Interested in hearing the best way to permanently set up hotspot and from those using it their experiences

hi vaughan, just use the hotspot on your phone as your modem. Works really well on my iphone!

I use the hotspot on my phone as well to connect my laptop to internet.
It's easy enough turning on the hotspot but I always forget what to do in the laptop.
Usually hsve to ring my son in law.

Are you using the Teltra's 3g or 4g network. As the 3g will be slower .

Telstra hot-spot covers a wide range of situations. What equipment was providing the signal for your computer? Some people refer to something like this as a Telstra hot-spot. These rely upon the same mobile telephone signals as the mobile dongle you have been using. As they use the same signals the hot-spots will slow down just the same as your dongle did.

Purchased the dongle from. JB a couple of years ago it is mobile and picks up telstra network.
Have been using hot spot off my phone for the last few days much quicker
