I think that Jeep has had a heart transplant with a Honda Motor...which no doubt makes it more reliable..at least they are environmentally friendly, breaking down in the Australian Bush..
Having said that I'm sure glad we had many Jeeps' during WW2 both here and the Islands during the desperate Pacific Theatre fighting...they were faster and more reliable than the Japs bicycles.....Hoo Roo

Touche' Explorer,.....lol....my beloved Landrover Discovery 11 was made by Ford as well when they took over Rover... however it still remained a true LandRover..,,engine/transmission oil leaks..., and 'The Three Amigo's electrical warning system constantly failing....high servicing costs etc....Hoo Roo

Using rounded figures Willys produced 363,000 and Ford 280,000
I found my first one on a farm with chooks roosting in it. A 1948 CJ2A slightly modified.
If you look closely at the video - it is NOT a Jeep - it is a Watercar Panther (Google it) - that is, a custom amphibian vehicle - the only thing that may look like a Jeep is the radiator grill _ the DESIGN is BASED on a Jeep, but I reckon that there are no Jeep parts in that - the custom fibreglass 'boat' hull alone is nothing like a Jeep - it is powered by a Honda V6 !
Jim, you should have bought this Jeep rather than your Hobbit Honda....fishing boat, chick magnet, and 4WD vehicle, all in one, mate...lmao...Hoo Roo

It's STILL a Jeep. Enough said.
