For weeks we have heard this thing flying over our homes and over our pools last weekend. Noisy bloody thing it is.
Our Neighbour reported it to the police, telling them it has a camera and can take photo's of his kids in the pool.
When we arrived home tonight, he came over and told us his 2 bird mist nets he had set, had downed the thing.
He called the police and they arrived in minutes. Its now awaiting for its owner at the station with some explaining to do. We hope they charge him/her.
If they lost control of it, It could hurt or kill.

The best thing for any "captured" drones.
Is to pass them round on the ends of your baseball bats for a while.
Then bag up the bits and drop in nearest bin.
Those thing. ALL privacy is gone. everywhere.
The only time one would be acceptable at any sports game.
would be a coach watching play and manoeuvres of players.
and he'd need permission from other coach first.
With MicroSD etc in there. would be really good for that.

OK, here some of the rules for flying a Drone , I hope the throw the book at him .
You must only operate this aircraft in your line-of-sight in daylight. Dont let it get too far away from you.
You must not fly closer than 30 meters to vehicles, boats, buildings or people
You must not fly over any populous area, such as beaches, other peoples backyards, heavily populated parks, or sports ovals where there is a game in progress
If you are in controlled airspace, which covers most Australian cities, you must not fly higher than 400 feet (120 meters)
You must not flyover any populous area, such as beaches, other peoples backyards, heavily populated parks, or sports ovals where there is a game in progress
You should not fly within 5.5 km of an air field.
You should not fly in the dark.
Also ,N. Parks are out.
They will be the same rules that will apply to the commercial use of sub 2Kg class except for the following
Its illegal to fly for money or economic reward unless you have an unmanned operators certificate [UOC] issued by the CASA
UOC certified Commercial operators can fly out side these limitations in potentially more dangerous situations

Our postman stopped & excitedly told me that there were two 18 year old girls naked laying next to a BACKYARD pool a few doors up from our house.
How did he know, the letterbox is mounted on the FRONT fence? A bit suss I reckon!
