This is the American President they are talking about. Regardless of how you voted a little more respect is due. Respect for authority seem to be a thing of the past. Respect for police and especially our medical personnel.

Gday...
HMMMMMM .... I really wonder why I post some stuff on this forum
It is meant to be a something of a pun, that they will cease to be appalled at the intention to construct a wall and/or that they will still find a way to circumvent the wall.
I didn't vote for for the man - he is American .. and I am Strayan ... and the Mexicans didn't vote for him either
Explain how this is disrespectful of authority?
How on earth did the police and medical personnel get into this.
Cheers - and perhaps just switch on your sense of humour and appreciate the irony of some statements - John

I agree with Mel and Paul - Respect for office is almost totally lacking in today's society.
There is another forum on this site for Humour.

Respect has to be earned, it's not a god given right - even if you are American.

Totally agree, Trump needs to show a bit of respect towards ALL the people.
But I did not vote and have no motive to show any respect for someone who apparently does not have a clue about leading a county of diverse interests.

Fer gawd's sake you lot I cannot believe - or understand - how your minds work .... or even if they do.
The humourous comment contained within a picture of a Mexican (now deleted so that the mis-guided responses would disappear) did not mention Mr Trump's name, was not passing any comment on Mr Trump's policies and was not passing any comment on Mr Trump's qualities as a person or President.
It was meant to be a pun, a play on words, about how people might react as a result of the intention to construct a wall ... IE - THAT THEY WOULD GET OVER IT ! ! ! !
IT WAS NOT IN ANY BLOODY WAY DENIGRATING MR TRUMP OR HIS GODDAM POLICIES ! ! ! !
Perhaps just dig very deeply and see if you can find if you have a sense of humour that is in dire need of some exercise and then switch it on and appreciate the irony of some statements.
Cheers - perhaps some of the members on this forum also need to 'get over it' - John

I had a bit of a chuckle John and it had nothing to do with my feelings about the office of the POTUS - actually I'm a bit surprised that this one copped it before the Dutch skit or the Air Force 1 post.

Respect is givven to the position, not the person.
That is given, if earned aftewards
That position HAS earned the right for some over the yrs.
Discounting several individuals, who can remain nameless.
His general basics are good. Protect my country.
I have NO problems with that. (Turnbull should be doing that here first.too)
How he carries out such will be the debatable part,
Let,s wait and see hey.
