Was in Buxton NSW yesterday (Sunday) around lunch time. Anyone that doesn't know Buxton: It's a little village on the South side of Sydney just South of the Railway Museum in Thirlemere.
At the little village shops the Child-bride ordered her usual egg and bacon roll while I had the "Buxton Burger", now these set me back around $13 for both. We were both presented with a parcel about the size of a football each.
Bacon roll; 1/4 pig sliced into 5mm chunks + two eggs placed on toasted damper roll the size of a dinner plate.
Buxton Burger; Massive flattened home made rissole, half the Çhinaman's veggie garden, 1/4 pig sliced as their version of bacon, eggs, pineapple, etc. Again on a dinner plate sized toasted damper roll.
God! I'm glad I didn't order chips as well, otherwise we would still be there, coz we wouldn't have fitted out the door. As it is, half of the Child-brides is still in our fridge, for today's lunch.
Do yourself a favour if down near Buxton or nearby at the train Museum - Drop in to Buxton for a burger - Very friendly owner to boot.

I realise that real estate values there are about half of the rest of Sydney - but absolutely top value and service.
Mezza, Tasted Fabulous.
I may drive there again later on this week just to have a go at something else on the Menu.

Shut the front gate!
With all that "Chinaman's vege garden" you sure did eat healthy, Possum.
Maybe you should invite your Cardiologist to go with you for lunch next time to show him how healthy it is Well done.
Keith, That's about what it looked like although "The Buxton Burger"' was on a sourdough bun, not a tacky sesame seed thing.

I'm not a Gunzel - but after retiring, I worked as a National Manager for Safety and Compliance with Clyde Eng and UGL for 10 years, I don't need to climb over the old beasts to appreciate them - getting too long in the tooth.
