After several extreme long-distance solo horse treks on lonely paths around the world my adventurous spirit was craving new challenges. My once-upon-a-time fantastic adventures with horses, pack donkey or mule, small tent, thin foam mattress and tiny cooking utensils are long left for others to enjoy. Its now another type of travel I fancy: the cosines of an en-suit caravan, queen size bed, solar power, BBQ and all sorts of creature comforts with which to explore the world around me. Yess to the Grey nomadic life style!
Ah, the definition of Grey , am I really already? Something to get used to yet.
After having owned two caravans since 2004 I decided to find the one I click with. No doubt, Quirky IT! Shes a good-looking 6yo, 18 ft off-road van by Vanguard and got all the perks a van like this should offer.
Quirky and I live in Cooma, the heart of the Snowy Mountains, the birthplace of multiculturalism in Australia where the Snowy Hydro Scheme was constructed between 1949 and 1957, one of the largest and most complex hydro-electric schemes in the world.
But for now, dear fellow Grey omads, if you are in the area drop by and say Gday .If you like Id enjoy showing you around. Theres excellent camping in the local Snowies, free of charge or entries fees into Kosci National Park. Cheers, Quirky
