All temps are taken in the shade to prevent radiated heat build up . To get more consistent heat . Yes we have pretty much the same weather here in Sydney . Put some sails over pool on 42* day . Next day it was lucky to reach 23* . I take extra note of sun these days due to having 6kw solar.
I Woke up this morning to overcast skies here in Perth,
Could hardly believe it after the scorcher we endured yesterday, ( our house 42.8 Deg C ) officially 40.0 Deg C,
Funny how the Official temp is always lower than what all other gauges read ???
SWMBO reckons they do that so as not to scare the Tourists away, ( see what B.O.M have to say below )
At present the sun is out but the temperature is only about half of what it was at this time yesterday, sitting on a nice 24.7 Deg C,
only one other thing that isn't to great, is the humidity has crept up to 55% .
As the Weather pattern usually heads East from Perth, I would hazard a guess that Adelaide and Melbourne could be in for a very hot weekend.
Keep cool People, drink plenty of water, and try to leave the Red & Brown in the fridge,
This may be hard to handle, but it will stop the evaporation at happy-hour, LOL
Maybe SWMBO is right in what she thinks, this article has just come up on ABC News...........
