There's a few to choose from, depends where you want to be, there's a couple along the Torrens river and a couple down West beach way in addition to the Brownhill Creek one. There's also one up at Mt Barker which is within 30-40 Mins from the city.

I stay at Hwy 1 at Port Wakefield Rd Waterloo Corner. I have allways found it reasonable.
That's where Granny lives.
Besides , being there , you can get a quick getaway when you leave.
I have never had any trouble with hwy noise or th smell from Bolliver.
Enjoy.

I normally stay at the Belair National Park CP. Away from the hustle yet handy to whatever I want.

We are currently staying at Woodcroft Park at Woodcroft that is part of McLaren Vale. Small park in terms of powered sites, has large sections of permanents but well maintained, clean and close to beaches and shops as well as McLaren Vale Wineries.
$35- per night for 2.
Hope all is going well at Mildura.
Cheers

Brown (Hill) creek would also get my vote, just be careful not to stand on a duck, get swamped by Black ****ies, or have a Koala poo on you van!
