The highest temperatures are expected tomorrow, with Melbourne heading for a top of 35 degrees Celsius on Christmas Day and temperatures higher than 40C expected in other parts of the state.
holidaymakers are urged to make sure they know where they are at all times and where to get information on conditions.
As you travel stay a tune to the information you need to know,.
If you see a fire report it. Don't drive towards smoke, drive away from smoke
"It's certainly going to be an uncomfortable night as we move into Boxing Day with temperatures across the majority of the state not really dropping below the mid-twenties,"
Stay safe People and keep cool.
