I'm sitting here thinking what can I wright about? And after a while a little message come to me, tell the world how lucky I am.
Where do I start? Well my Father died of a Heart attack on his 43rd birthday in 1953 (Year of 1st Triple Bypass). I had a Triple Bypass in Feb 2002 age 62. Now I am a couple of weeks away from 77, and not had a smidgeon of pain in my chest 15 years latter, 43 years longer than my Father. We sure are lucky that we have the modern Medical Science to keep us going. I am sure there must be a lot of good stories like mine out there.
Signed: Happy Chappy.

Always good to hear of a happy story, so keep smiling
Sometimes when we go through a life threatening situation, it is only after the event, that we realise how lucky we are, to still be here
I certainly enjoyed reading your post, Aussie
I also sincerely hope that you, and everybody reading this post, are just as happy, as I am

Yeh Tony, you have to look on the bright side. For the last 11 months I have been thinking to my self that I am 77. Then the other day my Darling happened to mention that I am 3 years away from 80. WOW the penny dropped, but I don't care as long as it continues to be good fun.
Well done. My grandmar died at 54, grandfathers at 48 and 58. Mother 63 n father 61. me, on medication since 40 i hopefully will outlive them all.

My father was only 32 when he died in 1945 from kidney cancer. They didn't know then that you could cut one out & still live ok on the other. Alice

Hi Aussie
My Dad had a quadruple bypass aged 69. He was 91 in November, had a pacemaker fitted in May last year and is still going well - passed his driving check-up with his GP a couple of weeks ago. You have a lot to look forward too in many more good years
cheers, Kay

Yes Kay, we are lucky to be living today, with the advantage of Modern Medical Science. Your Dad has given me a target now as my Grandfather on Mum's side made 96 and still had a pipe in his mouth when he went. I stopped smoking on 15th June 2000, 18 months before my Triple and after 45 years nonstop smoking, so life is definitely a Lottery. Tell your Dad he has a challenge.

Count yourself very lucky Aussie, my hubby had a heart attack 36 hours prior to bypass surgery, he was only 61, it's made me wake up and really live each day and starting this year I'm going to start really exploring this country.
