Interesting video John, I thought only Aussies would think up a dodgy setup like that! Smell of the paint burning would put me off and I'd burn my fingers for sure setting it up.

Great idea I think i would paint them with a fire retardant paint like you would use on a fire bucket before using they might last a little longer that way but a great idea when away with a camper.

With Fred Bell at Eagle Farm or Arch Shields in town? The Bureau was full of ex-WW2 characters back then. Plotting charts with pen and ink, Western Union Teleypes and the ever-faithful slide rule for pilot balloon flights.
