We're 34 here in Toowoomba (1.45pm) so not too bad. Doing school crossing this afternoon but only half an hour. I have one of those neck cooler thingys which I wear on hot days. My 89 year old Dad lives in Gatton so will give him a call when I get home.

Seven day forecast for Sunshine Coast highest 31 deg.
Wouldn't call that a heatwave....just nice and warm.
Out west will be hotter but it always is.

If you travelling in hot seasons.
Try to make your moves along the coastal strips.
Staying away from metro\holiday areas it's normally quite reasonable cost wise.
I used to love the mid 40's and up out in Simpson etc.
But last few yrs. I use a lot of Aircond.
So old age is creeping up.
Temperature will hit 46 degrees Celsius in parts of outback Queensland today, with a heatwave kicking in for state's central and southern regions.
The mercury will climb to 46C in Birdsville in western Queensland, with many towns in that region enduring above 40C today and over the weekend,
Temperatures will today crack 40C at Gatton and 38C in Ipswich, west of Brisbane,
BOM forecaster Diana Eadie said it would gradually get hotter in the coming days in central and southern Queensland.
