There is no intention to provide any political leanings in either direction and therefore there is NO intention to invoke a debate on the value or otherwise of the views he holds.

That was interesting, I thought - obviously a man who will follow his own convictions. Thanks

Interesting RL, thanks for sharing.
It is probably a shame that the standard of his presentation today has slipped somewhat.

Thanks for that John, that was something I was unaware of
I also make no political comments
I suppose time will tell what sort of USA President he will be

I guess like all other US presidents he will be judged by what he achieves while in office, that is not a political statement just a fact.

I was going to say something then I realised that Political Correctness rules the day so I'll keep my mouth firmly shut which means that Political Correctness have won the day.

The silent majority are sick of soft left wing policies right around the world in my view.

Yup! :)
And we're also tired of not being allowed a voice! In the modern world, unless one agrees with the left wing, trendy, populist views on a subject, one is howled down & made to feel that our views are irrelevant. Example: the gay marriage plebiscite would have given a voice to everyone, but the lefties think that their views are the only ones that matter!

Without making this political we have the voting power to change the future.

Gotta smile at this,
"I offer this, NOT for any political point of view, but simply to find that his views have changed very little in the past 25 years."
The thread is blatantly political.

Gday...
Sorry Santa ... the point of the thread is that 25 years ago Mr Trump held the same views, and expressed them as pointedly as he did during the last 12 months.
There was no comment in the OP that suggested ANY opinion of the validity, veracity or value of his views - simply that he had not changed his views over the past 25 years.

No need for any apology John, was struck by the irony of your statement "I offer this, NOT for any political point of view" and then go on to offer an opinion of the mans views over the past 25 years.

Blatant - without any attempt at concealment; completely obvious. Irony - the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning.
Perhaps I should added the word personal as above ... then the apparently "blatant" and "ironic" comments may not have caused your misunderstanding.
It is unfortunate that the written word can be so easily misrepresented, depending on the inflection and interpretation of the reader.
