I have been lurking for a quite a while, so I thought I had better bite the bullet and join up.
Still a couple of years away from hitting the road, still have to do that dirty word "w**k" for a little bit longer.
I have spent the best part of the last 20 years "on the road" with w**k, mostly in Western Vic, SA & Southern WA.
In my younger years (30+ years ago ) I travelled extensively all over Australia but I missed the Nullabor and from Perth to Darwin.
Now our kids have grown up, my lovely wife Kerry and I are planning to sell up and travel around Australia at our leisure.
Still in the infancy of planning but we have agreed that a 5th Wheeler suits our needs best, so we are going to spend some time exploring that option. We intend to mix free camping with caravan parks, probably 80% free camp / 20% caravan parks.
I have found that this site has a wealth of information and the members seem a good bunch.
Hopefully I will be able to contribute in some small way.
Cheers
Bill

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.
Woody, at last count I still have all my toes!
The name Lakatoi comes from my lifetime hobby of stamp collecting.
The "lakatoi" is a Papuan double hulled sailing boat, like the one pictured in the Papua stamp I have used for my avatar.
I collected stamps from Papua for over 40 years and only recently sold most of my collection.
