Hi everyone
I'm a new solo member, I've had my little 13ft Jayco for 12 months and done some small trips to gain confidence, I've only done a couple of free camping stopovers so need to try some more of that before I venture further afield. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some recommendations about folding electric bike?
Thanks Margdee

Welcome to the gang Margdee, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I noticed a couple of electric bikes in 'items for sale' down the bottom of the forum page.

G'day Margdee and welcome to the forum. Plenty of great advice and folks on here. Never used an e-bike so can't help you on that one.

Hi Margdee - I'm the guy still in the UK but I'll be back there very soon. My wife and I have both had folding electric bikes over here and absolutely loved them. You honestly can't go wrong by getting one - it really will make life so much more enjoyable. Good conversation piece too because everyone wants to chat about them when they see you have one - a bit like having a dog I suppose.
If you're on your own, just be sure to get the lightest weight you can as lifting in and out of a car trunk can be quite demanding.
Enjoy !!

Thanks for your messages. I like the idea of conversation piece, I will have both dog and bike. I'm looking at buying a basket for her to sit in. Could be interesting if we meet a cat on our way. I'm very aware of the weight issue and before I buy one I'll have to work out a method of getting the bike either in car or in front of the van, was thinking of some sort of ramp system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have also been looking at electric treadlies and am interested in these from Vmoto - www.vmotoonline.com/the-bikes/
I'm sure you would be able to attach a doggy basket as I would also want a basket just for carrying stuff. Need to consider weight and ease of carrying & loading bike as well as price & battery life. Would be interested to see what you decide on

Hello Margdee
Welcome to the forum from me also
I have an older brother who has a folding electric bike
I am not sure of the brand (it has the smaller wheels), but he purchased it from E Bikes are Us, in Fremantle West Australia He is very happy with it, he uses it for a bit of exercise, knowing that the battery will get him home, or up a hill, if he ever ran out of puff
I met a travelling couple who had another model called Leitner They were also folding electric bikes They said that they were very happy with them, and if memory serves me correctly, they were purchased in Brisbane
